Nairn

An excellent base for exploring the Scottish Highlands. Twelve of the Highlands top-twenty visitor attractions are within an hour's drive of Nairn. Nearby is Culloden Battlefield, Clava Cairns, Fort George, Cawdor Castle, Brodie Castle, Inverness, Urquhart Castle on Loch Ness or enjoy the scenic splendour of the Cairngorm mountains and its funicular railway.

Nairn has a marvellous sandy beach just perfect for a stroll to take in some of the highland fresh air. Its beaches are some of the best in the UK.

Book a round of golf on either The Nairn Golf Club or the Dunbar Golf Club both of which are Nairn's championship golf courses - with another 30 courses in a 60-mile radius. The Nairn golf club staged the Walker Cup in 1999.

View dolphins in their natural habitat from Nairn harbour, Chanonry Point or from a hired boat. Nairn is also a great base for walking and fishing holidays.
